as the days slip by....

As our summer silently slips by, we've been busy enjoying each other and our days without schedules. We've been:
jumping for joy:: {john samuel got new bedroom furniture - you can see it here.}
finishing a memory keeper:: {kristyn and i got these last summer as a souvenir from our trips to hilton head, island - i finally finished mine this week!}
delivering the news:: {the kids took on a paper route for some friends who were on vacation}
re purposing a shelf:: {i spray painted an old shelf for a new purpose, and i love how it turned out!}
watching 2 stars:: {maggie and her friend sarah were in a play, it was awesome to watch them on stage}
marvelling:: {kenzie and i spent part of the morning finding spider webs and enjoying their beauty}enjoying the company of loved ones:: {my grandma spent a couple of days with us, we really enjoyed her. she and john samuel loved playing play-doh together}
reading:: {this is my stack, some are finished, some are in process, some are pleasure, some are necessity...they've all been good reads}
drying out:: {swimming with friends requires drying out later...}
enjoying our harvest:: {my honey's topsy turvy really worked! tonight - tomatoes on burgers!}
Hope your getting the most out of your summer days...they seem to slip away so quickly!

Sounds like your summer has been lovely. It is slipping by fast though, so enjoy every last moment before fall arrives.

I've been wanting to photograph some spiderwebs, never think to get out side at just the right time. Love your photos though!!

Thanks so much for sharing these glimpses of your summer!

I have been obsessing about a tomato topsy-turvy ... so impressed that your honey made one!

I loved all your pictures. Seems like a really wonderful time. It's hard to believe it's almost over. It took so long for summer to arrive here in the northeast.

beautiful post lisa! you captured so well how seeking out and enjoying all the "little things" adds up to one great summer! we're trying to savor the days around here too - i'm so not ready to have it all end. the other night i had a bad dream about packing school lunches no one wanted to eat!

A newspaper route! I love it. We have tried to get the kids on one, but they don't take little ones. My husband has such fond memories of his route. Enjoy those last few days before school starts :)

anyway- loving JS new furniture!! and he does look so happy. what a blessing.

you HHI cross-stitch looks great! can't wait to see another project, because I'm sure I'll want to make it too.

that looks like a major paper route. when I saw the stack I thought oh no they didn't.

new purposes are great!

wish we could have seen the play too. that theatre reminds me of the one in grove city.

I'm marvelling at your webs as well. aren't God's creatures AMAZING?!

love the hands...you'll want to print and frame that one.

love the necessity one. need that one myself. :)
