all fresh and clean

Well, our painting and redecorating is all complete.  We're settled back in and are totally enjoying our new surroundings.  Here are the before and afters....

I changed out the curtains for wide blinds and we got a new living room seating set.  Everything else is just about the same...I haven't put everything up on the walls that I had up before.  I'm giving myself time to enjoy the clean look of the walls.  It had been 13 years since I originally painted the house with the linen walls and the pelham gray (really a green) trim.  I'm loving the new updated look.   It was a great end of the summer project.  Now we're back to school and ready for fall....is it time to put out the pumpkins yet?

I love it!!!! I really like all the molding painted white, looks so fresh and clean! I love that so many people are in the mood for freshening up their homes in blogland right now. And I too want to get my pumpkins out! Let me know is it too early??? Maybe if a bunch of us in blogland do it, it will seem normal :)

Your house is so beautiful -- and so tastefully done. You must feel such a sense of calm when you walk in the doors. It's really lovely. (I especially love the fireplace mantel). Those pumpkins will fit right in.

It looks awesome!! Love your color choices and new furniture!! I'm with you...a fresh coat of paint just gives the familiar a fresh new feel. Wish I was there to see it in person.

Looks great, and I yes I am so ready for pumpkins, actually I had to harvest some already from my garden so they're sitting on my kitchen window seat so as not to be out in the heat. I'm hoping they'll keep til it's cooler outside!

Everything looks so lovely. I admire those who redecorate start and finish. I am determined to finish mine this fall when the outdoor work is done.

LOVE the new look all around, Lisa... the color and crisp white trim is so stylish! I was actually thinking about a soft, light moccachino-coffee color for in our kitchen with white trim. It's very small room our kitchen so not sure if the brown would be too dark, even a light shade. This is big for me, as I've always dreamed of a aqua blue & white kitchen... but that looks odd with our natural oak cabinets maybe...LOL! Such fun to see your lovely home, Lisa. Did someone say pumpkin time... I can't wait! :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

Hi! I have not been a good blogger friend lately. I do love your updated, clean, fresh look! Doesn't it feel good to do a big project like that? It was fun to see your house and how close you are to the trees! Oh! I LOVE your new header!

I just put some faux pumpkins out yesterday.

Nothing like a repaint. My husband repainted some of our autographed (by the 4 year old) walls this year and instead of cringing everytime I walk past, I now smile.

I love seeing your space Lisa, it is just gorgeous. It feels so good to have fresh in the house, and it looks like you spent a lot of time getting everything ready for the coming Autumn

Your home is gorgeous - and so welcoming! I didn't realize you were painting out all that molding. What a big job - that's why i tried hard to find a wall color that would match my molding. Everything looks awesome and i love your white kitchen! We're going to buy some new couches in the next few weeks too but for now we are enjoying the sparseness around here - we donated the orange ones. Enjoy your beautiful space!

We just painted our front door the same color, I think it was called Tibetan Red. We are painting the rest of the outside next summer. What color is your house, just wondering as I chose the front door color first and now have to choose colors to match for the rest of the house. Kind of backwards, but a door is so important:)
