last of the baby knits

I finished the last of my baby cycle knits....the baby raglan.  Beth sent me this pattern from a Debbie Bliss collection.  It was easy to knit with plenty of stockinette.
This sweater was knit in pieces and then seamed together.  I haven't done too many sweaters that required seaming, so this one gave me some much needed practice in seaming.  I used this video to help me with the raglan seams. If you're wanting to work on your seaming techniques, this is a great little sweater to give you some practice.
I love the feel of this yarn....so soft and silky. I used just over two skeins to knit the 3 month size.   Because the front and back are identical, I added a tag to the back so that it was obvious which side should be the front.  (I thought the raglans were a bit more precise looking on one side than on the other)  I also did a single crochet around the neckline to stablize it and clean it up just a bit.
That should do it for a while on the baby sweater front....although I do have enough yarn left over that I might be able to squeeze out a hat to go along with each sweater....we'll see!

Great job ! I like your tag. You are very smart to have some baby presents ready to go. I want to have some too. I just need some extra time.

Love it! I only picked up knitting when my youngest daughter was much older so none of my babes had handmade goodies. I bet the baby will feel comfy in it.
I love the color too.

Oh, it's sooo PRETTY, Lisa! Wow... this is so sweet, and you can almost feel the scrumptiousness of the yarn through the screen. That color is wonderful too. I wish this sweater came in grown up sizes! ;o) Thanks for the video link. My raglan knitting often seems "loose," so that it looks a bit "holey," you know... I think I can learn a lot from this technique you share. Happy Days :o) Oh, btw, I am actually launching a new blog today, with new creative focus--I'm very excited about it. In a few weeks I'll be closing Pink Purl. Thanks for visiting me there. ((HUGS))

That sweater is very lovely. Your seaming is - seamless! My granny used to have tags that she sewed into things she'd knitted or sewed for us, and I often think I should do the same...

I love the simplicity of this little sweater! You did a beautiful job and I'm thinking I may just have to try this one. Our library carries Debbie Bliss so I'll be checking her out!!

Blessings, Debbie

Oh that's a sweet sweater -- love the style, the beautiful color and you did such a perfect job of seaming. I avoid seaming like the plague as I can not seem to make it look tidy ;(.
And that Beth is a sweetie, isn't she?
Blessings,
G
