It is sunny in my corner of the world today. I was so thrilled with the light that I went around capturing it with my camera.
I even discovered some daffodils peeking up through the leaves and mulch. Isn't it amazing how powerful sunshine can be? It reminds me to spread sunshine into the lives of others. Sharing light is always a powerful thing.
While I was taking photos I captured this corner of my craft room studio. The sun was beautiful in this room and then I remember that just last week Tracy had shared a corner of her world.
I really enjoyed seeing pieces of her reflected in that one place. So, I thought I'd share a corner of my home with you. This is the place where I have my therapy sessions. I sew, stamp, block, blog, craft and create in this space. The desk and drawers and shelf unit were given to us from our neighbors when they moved to Arkansas. Can you believe that?? For free...and they fit this space perfectly. The lamp was made by my husband when he was in high school. I love that his mom gave it to me. The printer trays hold about half of my rubber stamp collection. I really enjoy them as art on the walls. The snowman plate rack holds all the yarn that I'm 'planning' to use in the near future. Some of it has been in my 'plans' for over a year.
My knitting books and sewing books are on the shelf and the baskets and boxes hold my ribbons, cards and tape runners. I keep my fabric and yarn stash in the closet....that is going to be a spring cleaning project. I need to organize and purge that whole area. All those magazine holders are where I house my scrapbook/art papers. And as you can see I've got a couple projects in process. I love that I can start and leave something out. When I have time I can come back to it. This room is the spare bedroom in our house and it has the best light...the sun just shines right into the room most of the day. It's where all of our favorite friends stay when they come to visit. It's also the perfect place for creating. I feel really blessed to have this space. If you've got a special corner in your world...feel free to share it. Spread the sunshine.

I'm so happy the sun is shining on you today! soak it in an be renewed. ah, that wonderful guest retreat...a place to create and bless, just what you do best!!
What a lovely space to create in and make the 'sunshine' that we all get to share with you on this blog! Beautiful corner.
The sunshine is shining here too. I just got home and i had this feeling you would post so i checked in before cleaning up the kitchen - yes, the breakfast dishes are still on the table.
Love that you are sharing the space where you have your therapy - it's so bright. After last week my space causes me to require therapy so i will clean it up and share soon. I'm so stealing the magazine holders to store paper idea - i will also need to buy more paper and stamps...i need stamps! You are so lucky to have a bedroom with real walls and good light - my space has very sloped walls so only the center of the space is usable.
Love seeing that you have picked out the fabric for your next project - sometimes just looking at and touching the fabric is enough to get through yet another busy, no-time-make day! Thanks for spreading the sunshine, friend!
Loving your sunshine! The sun is out here today, too, but I've been spending the last few hours trying to restore some sort of order to our dining room--my craft room, and unfortunately (since we rarely use it for dining) the "room with the giant table covered in things that have no home." And it's on the north side of the house--so not sunny! Oh well, it needed to be done, and I can bask in your sunshine!
Enjoy that sunshine! We've had sunshiny-days and the emergence of spring bulbs here too and they've done wonders for my state of mind.
I love the way you've organized your rubber stamp collection on the walls! I'd love to "borrow" the idea but the wall space in my studio is already borderline hoarder :)
What a great little corner of your world! Those printers' boxes are the best. My mom just gave me one and I've stacked spools of thread in it for a burst of color. And the sunshine this week has been such a breath of fresh air -- I've missed seeing it this winter. Too much grey and white.
What a lovely room you have. I can well imagine everyone wants to stay there! I particularly enjoyed your sunny post because it has been grey and rainy where I am for days.
I long for a place where I can leave my things out. ::sigh:: Your space is really cozy. I'm kicking myself for not buying a printers tray I saw at the thrift store. It was very well made and I carried it around for a long time. I always err on the side of a minimalist and often regret it later.
What a nice, tidy nook. You are a lay of diverse talents.
Thank you for sharing your space with us, Lisa... Your studio is BEAUTIFUL--what a bright, lovely space to create in! And so see ground with no snow and green things growing is a great sight for my winter-sore eyes... All so lovely! Happy Day ((HUGS))
The sun has been so welcome here as well -- definitely mood enhancing!
Your studio is so lovely and tidy and inviting. Makes me want to get busy and organize a room of my own as well . . . soon ;).
Blessings,
GG
Oh, I got the chills seeing the bulbs emerging! How exciting.
Your corner is inspiring and beautiful! I think really good lighting is a must for a creating room or corner. You are so blessed to have this nice spot to do just that!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
xoxo Gloria
Great spot to do what you do best...create! My "corner" will be a lot brighter in a few hours when Kathy and Kristyn, Mark, Spencer and Connor come for "birthday weekend". An early Happy Birthday to you too Lisa! Love you...
It's a beautiful corner. So neat. Also inviting. I'd like to sit there for a bit. Sunshine is the best improvement.
I love this type of post. Love to see where others create!
Love your corner. What a great craft studio to have. It is nice to be able to start a project and leave it out to come back to. One of my favorites are the painter trays with your stamps.
Thanks for sharing your space.
Ruth
I bought a drawer from a printer's table, but it ended up in the barn! I need to get it out and clean it up & put my stamps on it! Or something!
Love your room!
