summer days...overflowing

I had dreams of long, lazy summer days filled with board games and swimming and reading books on the hammock.  In reality, our summer has been busier than I suspected.  We've been out and about running here and there.  There have been some quiet days but I've had to re-adjust my expectations to fit better with reality. And, as I reflect on the days that have flown by, I have to say that although it's been busy, it's been good!  In between all the busy-ness we've found time to:
{make new friends}
{enjoy new views}
{celebrate: Maggie auditioned and was cast in next year's production!}
{unearth hidden gems}
{dream about the bounty}
{hope for the future}
{wonder at the beauty}
{dry out}
{get reacquainted with old friends}
No matter what your dreams for summer involve I hope that your summer is full to the brim with fun and overflowing with good things!

Lovely, as always. Summer is always like that: the anticipation of ease confronts the reality of life. : ) But it's a good thing, really.

Your summer looks beautiful! I hope you'll get things slowed down enough to do a few of the things you had envisioned.

How Great is our God, His creation is awesome and we can gaze and wonder at it and be Thankful.
Thank You for reminding us of the beauty around - wherever we live.

My dreams for summer are to learn to enjoy what I have and not what I miss. And maybe sneek in some reading and knitting, they're always in my bag and I always hope for a moment to use them...but it's just to busy ;o)
As I said what I have...

It is fun to see that we both have theatrically gifted children! We are in the midst of a summer theater production and it is busy.
Everything looks beautiful.
Warm wishes, Tonya

Looks like a good summer so far there, Lisa! It's funny isn't it, how we make up grand plans for the summer, and the summer often turns out different--great, but different than our list! ;o) Congrats to Maggie on the part--hooray! Wishing you all a Happy July 4th weekend ((HUGS))

We are having a similar summer. I envisioned it a bit more relaxing...but it has been a blast so far, so i can't complain about the busyness!

Your summer looks absolutely perfect! We don't finish school until 23rd July so haven't really started ours yet. We are enjoying some very untypically English sunny weather though!

Hope you get a day in the hammock soon!

Congrats to your daughter -- first! And second, it sounds like busy times, but very good times. Enjoy. My mother always said after the Fourth of July, summer is practically over (that always brought me down!).
